Building A Community With The Right Foundation

We believe passionately in being active participants in the community we serve. With beginnings in a small town, where one’s reputation is made by "doing what you say you will do," the value of being as good as our word is a key part of our company culture. The foundation of who we are as a company, and as individuals, is the belief that we can make a difference in the things around us. It’s why in moments of crisis, we are there. In times of prosperity, we are focused on helping to build strong families and affordable housing, through advocacy and targeted charitable giving.

At Central Valley, we work toward a future where every family thrives.  As a member of the Pledge 1% initiative, 2% of profits of every Central Valley purchase will be contributed annually to help build strong families and affordable housing. All full-time and regular part-time employees can also give back to our community with up to 8 paid volunteer hours a year to approved organizations aligned with our philanthropic focus.

We look at housing, health, and child education and development as the most effective way to help family’s reach their full potential now and in the future. So giving back is a priority, and we're always looking for new ways to help.

There is a deficit of over 18,000 affordable housing units in the Napa, Sonoma and Solano counties alone; forcing many to choose between high rents, living in substandard conditions or enduring long commutes. Central Valley supports building and improving affordable housing, which improves health and our children’s educational outcomes.

We concentrate our charitable giving in places where we believe we can have maximum impact. Unfortunately, we receive more requests each year than we are able to fund with our limited resources. We are not able to fund requests that do not fit our funding guidelines and/or focus on propelling and strengthening the family and affordable housing objectives we have in our communities. To be eligible for support, your organization or institution, as well as the purpose of the proposed project, must qualify under regulations of the United States Internal Revenue Services. As a result, we are not able to provide funding directly to individuals.
